Ysios

Ancient Spanish Tradition

New Technology

The homeland of Tempranillo
One of the more stunning wineries you’ll ever lay eyes on, Ysios’ vineyards are at the base of the Sierra de Cantabria mountain in Rioja, with its buildings in a dramatic visual dialogue thanks to architect Santiago Calatrava. Not unlike this space, Ysios wines honour the ancient landscape and traditional terroir as much as they do new ideas, with Head Winemaker Clara Canals at the helm.
Wine has been made in Rioja, Spain’s most famous wine region, since 873AD with Viura and Tempranillo grapes indigenous to this area. Today the denominación de origen calificada (D.O.Ca) certifies wine from this region is genuine and of the highest quality with the "Qualified Designation of Origin", which can be found on all Ysios bottles.
